ANGEL 5.05 - Zusammenfassung

This is Angel's first Halloween themed episode.

Angel has sex with Eve, several times.

Ben Edlund slips in another Tick in-joke: "That's just...wrong" is another Tickism line.

Lorne's phone conversation at the begining of the episode includes "It's Grapes of Wrath in outer space", "It's got heart", "It's got laser battles". It's got a timely message of interstellar poverty." Except for the laser battles, this sounds a bit like "Firefly," another Whedon creation, which Edlund was also a writer. Is this just coincidence?

The urination of Gunn (specifically in Angel's office) is an in-joke reference to Rebecca Rand Kirshner (from Buffy S5-S7) who actually urinated in co-executive producer David Fury's prezel keg last year, which is located in his office.

Angel's hair seems to become more and more spiked, with every new episode. As of this episode, it looks alot more like it used to.

Lorne's "spell" he puts on The Fang Gang is similar to Willow's "spell" on The Scoobies in 4x09 "Something Blue" in Buffy.

Many people wonder why Angel does not lose his soul. One, he was under a spell. Two, he must feel a moment of true happiness to lose it, sex doesn't trigger it alone.

Angel being distracted by the Hockey game is an in-joke to David Boreanaz's Celebrity Hockey Games in which he is a frequent participant of.
