Gateworld hat mal wieder ein paar interessante News über eine mögliche Season 9 veröffentlicht (kleine SPOILER):
Season Nine could go back to the past

Stargate SG-1 might explore some of its unresolved plot threads from previous seasons, should it get the go-ahead for a ninth season, according to executive producer Michael Greenburg. He hinted to fans at last weekend's London Film and Comic Con that another year -- or multiple years -- of SG-1 is still a possibility, though he did not confirm that Season Nine has been given the go-ahead.

There are still plenty of stories to tell, Greenburg told fans in a panel session that also featured Christopher Judge ("Teal'c"), Dan Shea (stunt coordinator and "Sergeant Siler"), and Greenburg's wife Nikki Smook, who has appeared in the Stargate episodes "Scorched Earth" and "Birthright." "We make a joke about [the Furlings] in an episode at the end of this season," Greenburg said. "You'll see at the end of Season Eight, there's one episode with Homer Simpson in it -- the guy who plays Homer Simpson, Dan [Castellaneta, 'Citizen Joe']. We sort of revisit all those things from the early years that we never really arc'ed around and paid off. See, that's why we need to go nine, 10, 11 -- a few more years."

Judge joked with a questioner who asked him if he was going to write any more episodes for Stargate, commenting, "You're assuming there's another season! Maybe that's a question for Michael Greenburg?"

Greenburg took up the thread with, "Oh, he'll write. He's one of our good writers. He's one of our most talented writers, so when he has time, he writes."

It is possible that a Season Nine will see not only the Furlings revisited, but a return to other story arcs previously left unaccounted for, such as Nicholas Ballard (Jan Rubes), Daniel Jackson's grandfather who was left living off-world with giant mist aliens in the Season Three episode "Crystal Skull." "I hope we have the chance to bring him back," Greenburg saiad. "There is another story that Michael Shanks actually pitched as a sequel to 'Crystal Skull' that is really good. I'd love to give him the opportunity."

Filming on the show's current season has wrapped, though the crew had a few headaches near the end of the season. When asked what is the most expensive prop that has ever been broken on Stargate, Greenburg said that it had just recently happened: "The Stargate, which costs $250,000, broke," he revealed. "That was pretty much the most expensive prop. Ray Douglas, who's head of our special effects department, had to put it back together. We had to not shoot the Stargate for a couple of weeks because it was broken ... and it was about $50,000 to fix."
