Dragonball Z Live Action Movie

Schon seit geraumer Zeit geht das Gerücht um das es einen Kinofilm zur Erfolgsanimeserie Dragonball Z geben wird.

Nun haben die sich wieder verdichtet. Bei n bissl rumsurfen in diversen Foren bin ich auch auf diese News gestoßen:


"I decided to follow up a bit more regarding the rumored live action Dragonball/Z movie. One persistant rumor has been that "George Lucas' CGI company ILM has signed a contract to do the special effects."

Today I called Ellen Pasternack, Public Relations for ILM. I asked her if the rumor was true; if ILM was brought on board to provide the special effects for the Dragonball/Z live action movie. Ms. Pasternack's reply was that it had been mentioned but the negotiations aren't finished yet and she can't talk much about the movie.

Weiterhin sind Orlando Bloom (Legolas; Herr der Ringe) und Eliza Dushku (Missy Pantone; Girls United) in Verhandlungen zu Hauptrollen für den Film, dessen Dreharbeiten Mitte 2004 beginnen soll.

Und ein Segen für die Fans: Akira Toriyama, der Erfinder von Dragonball, wird während der gesamten Produktionsphase beteiligt sein und auch mit einbezogen werden.

Und zu guter letzt noch ein sehr früher Entwurf eines Posters zum Teaser, mit dem wir Herbst bis Ende 2004 rechnen dürfen

nur so nebenbei es gibt schon DBZ filme und zwar als anime und genau dass sollte DBZ auch bleiben (falls das nicht ein aprilscherz ist). und Eliza Dushku mit Orlando Bloom in dem film? die 2passen da sowas von nicht rein. naja aber egal, jedem das seine

hmm also das is schon länger kein Gerücht sondern ziemlich fix,
Goku wird übrigens von Hugh "Wolverine" Jackman gespielt

aber wenn der Film nicht ein gigantisches Budget hat dann wird er mies (weiß sowieso nicht wie sie die ganzen Kämpfe umsetzten wollen wenn man bedenkt das der 10minütigte Endkampf bei Matrix 3 ein Drittel des Budgets gefressen hat)

The other day Steve from Kyleherbert.com contacted Fox Studios in Los Angeles, CA, and hear is what the contact had to say:

"The Dragonball Z movie? We don't have that. I 've got a lot of calls about that so I called around [the studio]. We won't be making that [movie]."

And on top of that, Steve contacted ILM, to see if the rumor about them doing the special effects were true. Here is what Steve had to say about what happened:

So there you have it, folks. Another death nail in the DBZ live action movie coffin. That isn't to say that the film will never be made. There are other major studios besides FOX and other effects houses aside from ILM. Who knows ... maybe Wetta will snag this property to go along with the Evangelion live action movie. Only time will tell. "

Diese Nachricht ist bereits vom 12.3., also wohl kein Aprilscherz :(

sieht stark danach aus als wären die Kämpfe stinknormale übertrieben Martial Arts Kämpfe wie in Dutzend Anderen Filme und nicht "omg die bewegen sich mit Lichtgeschwindigkeit und sprengen nen ganzen Berg weg mit ner Handbewegung"
