I am currently off work due to an injury. But that doesn't mean I'm out of contact, I'm not. As far as I know, right this minute, UPN is still in the game. This is very complicated and hard info will be harder and harder to come by as talks continue. But I have been keeping my eyes and ears open and nothing I have found would lead me to believe UPN has left the building. There is still buzz among those I know who do not work for UPN. My bet is talks are still underway. With all your efforts at letter writing and such UPN knows we're watching. If they pull out of talks, it is my guess they would let the fans know so as not to suffer the same ill will as shown to SciFi. You people are moving mountains and have the attention of some big players. Be true to the cause and season 5 will happen. If not on UPN, then for sure somewhere else.

Hmmm, bei solchen Posts habe ich immer den Verdacht, daß sich da im besten Falle jemand was ausdenkt, um die Massen zu motivieren.
Ich bin von Natur aus ein mißtrauischer Mensch, und wenn jemand sich Source nennt und dann ein paar vage "ich weiß bescheid, ich sitz an der Quelle"- Aussagen macht, die man nicht nachprüfen kann, dann ist das IMO sehr fragwürdig.
Vielleicht hat der Schreiber ja auch ein Profilierungsproblem und will sich nur wichtig machen?

Kimrb ist wirklich ein Mitarbeiter von UPN, einige Scaper haben seine Email addy, Businesstelefonnummer etc bei UPN herausgefunden.

Er hat uns auch recht viel geholfen Marketing Pläne zu entwicklen (auf dem Frell me Dead board) Man kann ihm also vertrauen UND ... nachdem wir ihm die ersten Eps von Farscape zu geschickt haben ist er auch ein neuer Scaper.

Hi All,

I have posted before and I work for the Sci Fi Channel. I got an email regarding January's air schedule and what are considered High Priority. I thought I would pass on the info regarding Farscape:

Farscape and Stargate SG-1 return with 11 original episodes on Fridays starting 1/10 at 8p and 9p

RETURN OF FRIDAY ORIGINALS
Farscape and Stargate SG-1 return with original episodes on Fridays starting 1/10.
Farscape will now occupy the 8p time slot for its final 11 episodes.
Stargate remains at 9p rounding out its current season with 11 more original episodes.
Dead Zone will continue to be repurposed on SCI FI.
The show returns to Fridays at a new time (7pm) starting 1/17.
Episodes will air approximately two weeks after they premiere on USA.
Note that Stargate and Farscape repeats air on Fridays in late night starting at 11:30p, after the Friday Dream Team episode airs.

Farscape & Stargate recap, Friday, 1/3
Last 3 eps of Season 4 of Farscape (6p to 9p)
Last 3 eps of Season 6 of Stargate SG-1 (9p-12a)

Ok...so between that and the Christmas Eve Chain Reaction, there should plenty of opportunities for everyone to get the word out there to WATCH!!!

IMO nicht ganz schlecht. Obwohl, wie ich gelesen habe, Farscape damit mit Firefly konkurrieren muß. Andererseits werden (zumindestens im Januar) nur Reruns von Firefly gesendet.

Naja, bleibt wohl nichts weiter als abzuwarten.

Meine Reaktion nach ein bißl nachdenken, ist auch eher positiv, die Chance das da mehr Leute ( auch von Ihrer geliebten 14 - 29 Gruppe ) schauen ist glaub ich größer, und angeblich dürfte es um Firefly nicht so gut stehen.......

Irgendwie sind das glaub ich doch good news :rolleyes:

Klingt für mich auch nicht schlecht :) Ein 8pm Sendeplatz ist an einem Freitag Abend auf jeden Fall besser als ein 10pm Platz. Das ist einfach so. Später ist man einfach müde oder geht weg, dann schaut man klar kein Fernseh mehr.

Das Interesse von UPN scheint mir glaubwürdig. Haben ja auch sicher genug E-Mails bekommen ;) Im Prinzip hängt ja alles bloß noch von SciFi ab.
Der beste Plan wird sein, die Serie durch die Absetzung so bekannt zu machen, dass die letzten 11 Eps wieder sehr hohe Quoten kriegen.
Ich frage mich aber, ob es dann nicht schon zu spät ist. :(

Wofür zu spät? Daß ein anderer Sender Farscape übernimmt? Glaube ich nicht. Ich erinnere mich gelesen zu haben, daß die Sender sowieso erst extrem spät über ihr neues Programm entscheiden. Es wäre also nichts besonderes, wenn UPN usw. erst einmal abwarten, wie sich die Quoten der letzten elf Folgen entwickeln, bevor sie eine Entscheidung treffen.

Wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe, dann meinte dieser UPN-Typ auf dem FDM-Board, daß "no news = good news" sind. Denn wenn der Sender nicht an einer Übernahme interessiert wäre, hätten sie normalerweise längst irgendein Statement herausgegeben. Daß es so still ist, sei höchstwahrscheinlich ein Zeichen dafür, daß einiges hinter verschlossenen Türen abläuft und keiner sich in die Karten gucken lassen will.
