Neuer Alien-Film von Neill Blomkamp

Blomkamp, who directed “District 9″ and the upcoming Sony feature “Chappie,” had been teasing the project in recent months but said the extra-terrestrial reboot was likely abandoned. It was supposed to star “Alien” veteran Sigourney Weaver.
But on Wednesday Blomkamp confirmed the tentpole was back on track at Fox.
“So I think this is officially my next film,” he confirmed on Instagram.
It’s unclear whether Weaver is still attached to the movie.
Also jetzt doch. Nachdem schon vor Wochen Konzeptbilder über Blomkamps Instagramm-Account durchs Netz flatterten, hat sich FOX nach dem regen Interesse im Internet doch dazu entschlossen, Blomkamp eine Chance zu geben. Ob die Ideen aus den Konzeptzeichnungen, die u.a. die Handlung der Filme 3 und 4 ignorieren, auch Einzug in den neuen Film erhalten ist aber nicht bekannt.

Im Übrigen ist die beste Fortsetzung zu Ridley Scotts "Alien" erst letztes Jahr erschienen, ist ein Videospiel und hört auf den Namen "Alien: Isolation".
