According to Ricky Manning, executive producer of Farscape, fans have spent more promoting the show than the SciFi Channel, which cancelled the cult hit, ever did. He estimates they have spent $200,000 for the Save Farscape campaign, which has seen advertisements appear in showbiz bibles like Variety and the Hollywood Reporter. Farscape was shot in Sydney and many Australians lost their jobs when the axe fell last year."
