Angel doesn't have his hair spiked anymore. This is the first time he's had a major change in hairstyle, in anything other than flashbacks.

Spike came back to life the same way that he died on Buffy 7x22 'Chosen', only in reverse.

Numero Cinco makes a walk-on role in this episode. Expect to see him in more blink-and-you'll-miss-it scenes up to 5x06 'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'.

James Marsters is the third person to become a main cast member on Angel after being a main cast member on Buffy the Vampire Slayer first.

In the past, Angel: The Series has never had any two part episodes (with 'to be continued' at the end). Since most of the people behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer have become part of the crew for this show, there will obviously be a few changes. This being the first.

This marks the first time that both David Boreanaz (Angel) and James Marsters (Spike) are both credited in the opening credits of the same show at the same time. On Buffy, David was credited for Seasons 2 & 3 and then he left for his own show. Spike resurfaced in Sunnydale and was credited for Seasons 4 through 7.
