I realize that by starting a new thread, it'll be some time before this news
appears, so I will probably post it elsewhere as well.
The day is over, the con is finished, and a splendid time was had by all.
I'm also exhausted, having arisen at 5 AM for this day-long shindig. So,
I'll confine my post to only a few words tonight, and will work on the photos
- and more news - later on.
So, the Q&A was held in a high school classroom. Before he came in, we
mischievous few decided the blackboard should say "Mr. Straczynski," and Jan
set about writing it in chalk. I suggested below it "B5 101," but she
instead posted "TMoS 101." When JMS came in, he scowled at it (a
long-suffering yet humorous sort of scowl), and erased it.
Preface over, to sum up, the important things are as follows (anyone who was
there, please correct me if I have anything wrong):
1) JMS said he absolutely, positively could not tell us anything about TMoS.
2) During the Q&A, someone talked about how they enjoyed the Techno-Mage
trilogoy, and asked JMS if he'd like to see that on screen someday. He said
something about not being able to talk about it, and referenced "that thing
that I just erased from the board."
3) Someone later on in the Q&A asked him about Crusade, and whether he'd like
to see that story continued at all if possible, and he again deferred, and
again referenced that thing that had been on the board.
Signing off for now...
