Geräuschmüll:
Oftmals elektronische produzierte Schallwellen, mal mehr, mal weniger komplex in Struktur und Zusammensetzung. Im Prinzip immer ein Gemisch aus Sägezahn- und Sinuskurven.
In der Regel wird mit "Geräuschmüll" - im folgenden der Einfachheit halber Techno genannt - all jenes bezeichnet, was in der Disco gespielt wird - was aber absolut falsch ist. Echter Techno ist durchaus hörbar und von Geräusch zu unterscheiden. Trotzdem bleibt den meisten die faszinierende Welt des mit Techno oftmals einhergehenden Minimalismus' verschlossen.
Weiters wird gern sämtliche elektronische Musik unter dem Gesamtbegriff "Techno" zusammengefasst, was auch völlig falsch ist. Techno ist nur ein kleiner Bereich des elektronischen Spektrums, neben vielen anderen Stilrichtungen, wie:
EBM
Future Pop
Industrial
Darkwave
Noise
Und dann gibts noch Musikrichtungen die am schlechten Image der Electronica schuld sind, wie:
Eurodance
Trance
und ähnliches.
