Last year, EA's Need For Speed Underground was the Madden of racers, selling five million copies worldwide across all platforms. It comes as no surprise that EA has announced a sequel, developed by EA Canada and cleverly titled Need For Speed Underground 2, which is set to ship for PC, Xbox, PS2, GameCube, and GBA this fall.

Underground 2 features one giant city with five distinct neighborhoods (think, boroughs of New York), where rival racers challenge gamers to races, offer tips on the hot racing spots and places to buy car upgrades. New game modes are promised, along with deeper performance and visual customization on over 30 licensed cars. How many new decals and paint jobs can there really be? Enough to create over 70 billion different car combinations.
We'll have more on NFSU 2 soon, like say at E3.
