Über die Zukunft von BSG wird laut Syfyportal.com wohl im Februar entschieden:

"We wrapped on the first season [and] the network's ordered six backup scripts, which we're all writing right now," Moore recently told Now Playing Magazine's Scott Collura. "And they will decide whether to pick up the second season probably in early February after they've seen a few airings in the U.S."
Moore said he anticipates that those scripts could actually be filmed, since he said Sci-Fi Channel executives have been pleased with the reception the show has received so far from critics as well as British audiences on Sky One, where most of the first season already has aired.
"If you talk to anyone at the studio or the network, by and large, I think they'll tell you that they're very up on the show and that they really believe in it and think it's going to do well," Moore said. "There's a lot of sort of positive momentum behind the people who are writing the checks, which is really good."
Moore said he couldn't wait to jump into further episodes of BSG, especially with work already beginning on the second season.
"It was fun breaking the first six, which is essentially the first half of the second season kind of laid out," he said. "I soprt of knew the direction I wanted to go, though by no means had we really plotted out exactly what the resolution of the (first-season) cliffhanger" would be ahead of time. (...)
Die 1. Staffel wird also mit einem Cliffhanger enden. Ich fürchte mich jetzt schon.h34r:
