"Last year sucked" trifft es so total, nicht wahr? *g*
Endlich wieder Alias und ich muss sagen, für eine vierte Staffel wirklich kein schlechter Auftakt.
Wie LG auch stören mich so einige Insider_Geschichten etwas, aber ich hoffe, dass sich das alles noch ergibt und JJ sich noch ein As im Hemdsärmel hält.
Denn also bitte, wer glaubt denn nach 3 Staffeln schon noch, dass Sloane auf einmal voller Patriotismus für Amerika entbrennt und das ultimative Rambaldi-Artefakt einfach mal abgibt?
Und wer glaubt eigentlich, dass Lauren, Irina und wirklich das Francy-Double tot sind? Ich jedenfalls nicht.
Und auch die Sache mit Vaughn und Syd fand ich etwas zu schnell dafür, dass sie ne halbe Stunde voher noch meinte "Nee, lass ma langsam loslegen"... Naja, wenigstens hat er sein altes Haus abgefackelt, coole Aktion und dazu hat er noch mehr Sorgenfalten auf der Stirn als früher *schmacht*

Aber nett, die "alte Truppe" wieder beisammen zu haben, auch wenn das Ganze etwas zu hölzern daherkam.
Und ich glaube auch nicht, dass Weiss sehr lange unbeteiligt bleibt, der arme Kerl is ja nu ganz allein bei der CIA.
Und die Akte? Ich dachte eigentlich auch, dass die ein wenig älter wäre... obwohl das natürlich erklären würde, warum Irinas Schwester Syd im Finale der dritten Staffel töten wollte. Ich glaube aber, an dem ganzen Ding ist noch mehr dran. Vielleicht doch wieder was Rambaldi-mässiges?

Tja, eine nette Doppelfolge, aber noch nix gross mit rotem Faden, oder? Bei Tamasaki dacht ich ja nun, wir hätten eine neue böse Terror-Gruppe als Staffel-Gegner, aber der isses wohl nicht. Hmja.
Trotzdem schön, dass sie jetzt Black Ops sind, das gibt dem ganzen etwas mehr Möglichkeiten sich zu entwickeln, hat man ja schon bei dem Einbruch gesehen, das hätte Robot-Dixon ja nie erlaubt Und der Name passt ungemein gut und ist dazu noch cool. Ich werd an meiner S-Bahn Haltestelle jetzt mal Ausschau halten, vielleicht hat Bielefeld ja auch sowas
Nette neue Credits übrigens, trotzdem stört mich die neue Musik dazu etwas.

Eine Frage hätte ich noch: Jennifer Garner und Michael Vartan waren doch zusammen, sinds aber jetzt nicht mehr, oder? Merkte man das den Folgen total an, oder spielten die beiden so perfekt ihre Rollen vom Liebespaar mit Hindernissen?
Und ich habe keinen roten Beatle diesmal gesehen... hoffentlich taucht der bald mal wieder auf

...So, nachdem wir letzte Woche in den Genuss von zwei neuen Folgen gekommen sind, gehts jetzt endlich ENDLICH wöchentlich weiter.
Der Inhalt kurz und knackig:
Sydney must seduce a murderous arms dealer in order to track down a stolen NSA code-breaker. Meanwhile, Vaughn fears for Weiss's life, and Sydney and Jack argue about telling Nadia the truth about her mother.

Apo mutet sich für mich immer mehr an wie das alte SD6 als noch alle ausser Syd dachten sie würden für die gute Sache arbeiten. Das ist nett, aber die erste Staffel hatte mir dafür zu wenige Folgen mit wirklich rotem Faden. Leider mutet mir Season 4 langsam auch so an. Hoffentlich ändert sich das noch. Aber trotzdem einige nette Sachen, die ich echt vermisst habe: Unter anderem zu Beispiel Jack als so ein richtiges Arschloch. Mann, das is wieder mal toll. Und wenn Amis versuchen Deutsche zu spielen bin ich sowieso wieder begeistert. *g* Der Typ hat sogar versucht den Tonfall hinzubekommen, süss.
Hoffe trotzdem, es wird noch ein Oberbösewicht auftauchen. Zum Beispiel wären ein paar Folgen mit Anna Espinosa oder dem K-Direktorat oder so doch mal wieder toll. So von wegen "Alte Schule" und so.

Und es geht weiter mit 4x04. "Ice"
Inhalt geklaut bei tvtome:
Sydney goes undercover as an earthy social worker and Vaughn as a lascivious, semi-tipsy priest to track down a deadly new bio-weapon. Meanwhile, Sydney is frightened when Vaughn's inner-demons regarding deceased wife Lauren come to the surface, and Nadia turns to a reluctant Jack to learn truths about her mother, Irina.


Ui, ein Typ der in Millionen von Teilen zerspringt? Ich hab ja fast damit gerecgnet, dass ihn Eidelons wieder zusammensetzen... ööh, Moment falsche Serie
Nette Folge, interessant hinter Vaughns Fassade auch mal ein paar Schuldgefühle zu sehen, leider fand ich das Ganze etwas zu schnell gelöst um wirklich interessant zu werden. Eigentlich dachte ich sogar genau wie Vaughn Lauren wäre da wirklich auf dem Markt... Immerhin sind zu viele Tote schon wieder aufgetaucht um dran zu zweifeln, nech? Und Nadi? Die geht mir jetzt schon etwas auf die Nerven, die trägt irgendwie so gar nix zur Story bei. Und auch Jack steht mir noch etwas zu sehr im Abseits. Die Sache mit dem Foto war ja wohl etwas schwach.

I ran into the ever-hotter-looking Merrin Dungey (formerly of Alias and now of Summerland) at the WB party, and my favorite party-starter nearly flipped her lid upon hearing that Bradley Cooper (Will) was returning to Alias. "He is? What about the Francinator? Where is the love?"

She was kidding--well, sort of--and then she talked about how she loves to rub Jennifer Garner's nose in her new fancy WB schedule. Check out this Merrin Dungey video clip if you want truth about life in Summerland.

"I would love to bring [Merrin] back," JJ said. "I mean, it connects to what we were saying about the Lost issue. It's best to not work with people whom you like so much. We also just had David Anders (Sark) come back in a two-parter with Gina Torres (Anna Espinosa), and the guy is just so, so good. You get spoiled working with these actors, and then when you have to make creative choices, it kills you. Even on a personal level, not seeing them anymore. But I think there's always a chance that someone could come back, so I'm crossing my fingers that we can bring Merrin back, too. I love her."

He also, naturally, loves Jennifer Garner and was happy to tell me she's back at work and "doing great" after her injury, which brings great relief to costar Greg Grunberg (Weiss). "We were all very nervous," he said. "Jen was scared for a little bit. I mean, she does all of her fights and a lot of her stunts and then Elektra on top of it. She's just incredible, and that stuff catches up with you, you know? I mean, if I have to eat too fast or pull out my own chair, I call for a stunt man. I am only an actor!"

After initially insisting that Weiss is the reason Alias has made it four years, Greg admitted it's all about Jen. "That's why I make sure everything's okay in her life and send her chicken soup every day, because her health is my livelihood. And if anything happens in her love life that she's not happy about, I will kick someone's ass, okay? I have got Jen Garner's back. I will tell you right now that so far she's been thrilled and very, very happy, but I am watching."

So, diese Woche Alias 4x05: "Welcome To Liberty Village"

Inhalt:
Sydney and Vaughn pose as a married couple in suburbia in order to find a weapon that could set society back to the Dark Ages. They quickly discover that "marriage" is a real strain on their relationship, and the picturesque neighborhood they've infiltrated is not nearly as innocuous as it seems - nor is it in America.

Sehr geile Folge, endlich mal ein bisschen was anderes als "Wir jetten um die Welt und jagen Böse"... Naja, eigentlich wars das ja doch.... aber endlich gabs mal wieder was wirklich Handfestes für die Shipper unter uns zu sehen. Ich hatte im Vorfeld die Befürchtung das das mit dem "verheiratet sein" bei den beiden zu Streit führt der dann die Folge auf lustig trimmt, aber dem war ja gottseidank nicht so.
Am Ende kam ich mir zwar teilweise so vor, als wäre ich nicht bei Alias sondern bei James Bond "Goldeneye", aber das war auch noch zu akzeptieren.
Die Auflösung an sich ging mir allerdings etwas zu schnell. Rein, Auto kaufen, Mann überfahren und dann nur 3 Minuten um abzuhauen? Najö, ne?
Hmja, was noch? Geiles Trainingsgelände, richtig schön "normal", wirklich tolle Idee der Schreiber gewesen. Und hats wer bemerkt? Sie hatten ne Bowlingbahn
Und was haben blos Jack und Sloane für einen "Schedule"? Und warum suchen die Russen Irina bzw. nen toten Agenten? Ist Irina etwa doch nicht tot? Oder noch ne Schwester/Bruder/Tanet? UUUuh, da würde ja KEINER mit rechnen...

I've heard that they've approached her once again, but so far, no commitment. Frankly, given everything they offered last time (a ridiculous chunk o' change), I'd be surprised if she were to sign on. But I'm nonetheless holding my breath, crossing my fingers and praying to the almighty telly god.


From rjbrown2020: So, Jennifer Garner won a SAG Award! How cool is that! Finally a person who deserves the award actually wins!

I know! So thrilled for her, as she clearly has acting chops--the public-at-large can forget that with all the Bennifer-Elektrafer nonsense. A cute little tidbit: I'm told that as Garner was waiting her turn to walk the red carpet yesterday, the friend with her snapped, "Ugh, Look at this line. We don't have to wait in this. Come on." But Jen, ever so gracious, pulled her back and said, "No, it's okay. I can wait." Seems her good karma paid off, no? Also, later that night, FYI, she met up with Ben, at an after-party thrown by his agent.

Nach zwei verhauenen Klausuren musste heute wieder mal ganz dringend Alias her:

Alias 4x06 "Nocturne"

Inhalt:
After being infected with a hallucinogen, Sydney starts to lose touch with reality. Vaughn and Jack must rush to find an antidote before Sydney puts her life - and others next to her - into danger

Wiedermal eine relativ gute Folge, auch wenn ich die Auflösung wieder mal etwas zu schnell fand. Diese Tagträume waren wirklich sehr gelungen, teiweise war ja leider wegen der total abwegigen Situationen klar, was wahr und was falsch war. Trotzdem super dargestellt, besonders diese Sprünge in den Dialogen waren ja wohl sowas von geil. Tja, wie gesagt, etwas zu einfach "Oh schau nur, das Gegenmittel, da zwischen den ganzen anderen farbigen Phiolen!", najöö, ne? Ob Vaughn sich das selbst auch gespritzt hat? Immerhin hat Syd ihn ja auch gebissen...
Mann, Syd war ja wohl total weggetreten, auf Vaughn schießen? uiuiuiui Wenn ich Vaughn wäre, würde ich mir das mit dem nicht-langsam-angehen ja nochmal überlegen. Er meinte zwar, dass sie ja nich sie selbst gewesen sei, sie scheint das aber irgendwie anders zu sehn...
Und hey! Robot Dixon zeigt Gefühle! Ich glaube der und ich warten beide sehnsüchtig auf den Tag, an dem Sloane wieder böse wird Und ich dachte schon es wäre mal wieder Rambaldi-Zeit.... aber leider waren die irren Bilder und Texte über Vampire noch nicht alt genug *g*

I've read the script for this one (which actually was supposed to air as the third ep--go figure). I can tell you I love the premise: girl-and-girl action! Syd and sis Nadia team up on, not one, but two missions and kick some serious gluteus maximus. The script says, "These two women are un-f--king-believable together." And of course, behind the scenes, Vaughn and Weiss are loving it. The episode ends with the four of them going on a double date. Awww. There's also some very heated interaction between Syd and Sloane.

Huppsala und schon ist die besprochene Folge auch schon gelaufen. Und ich muss sagen: Als dritte Folge der Staffel hätte sie mehr Sinn gemacht.

4x07 "Detènte"

Inhalt
While Sydney and Nadia argue about Nadia's acceptance of Sloane's fatherly concerns, Sloane worries about Nadia's well-being when she and Sydney go undercover as wealthy, irresponsible young heiresses to uncover the whereabouts of a deadly chemical.

Hui, auf einmal, nach ganzen SIEBEN Folgen fällt Syd auf, dass sie Sloane immer noch hasst und nicht wirklich mit ihm arbeiten bzw. ihm auf Missionen nicht vertrauen kann. Macht so überhaupt keinen Sinn, dass sie jetzt auf einmal anfängt seine Quellen in Frage zu stellen, ist sie soch vorher immer gesprungen, wenn er was gesagt hat. Von dem Standpunkt aus gesehen eine der schwächsten Folgen überhaupt, selten hab ich mich in Alias so verarscht gefühlt... Nicht mal als das Franzie-Double auf einmal wieder da war. Töll.
Naja, dafür ganz nette Action mit Nadia und Syd zusammen als Spione, richtig gutes Team die beiden. Und endlich spricht Weiss mal an wie seltsam es ist, dass er und Vaughn Schwestern daten *g*
Selbst Marshall war mal wieder nach langer Zeit wieder in Gadget-Topform.
Trotzdem reisst das die Folge nicht mehr ganz raus und wenn nicht bald mal ein roter Faden oder eine Erklärung für Sloanes Sinneswandel kommt, dann ist die Staffel wirklich nich mehr zu retten.
Ich will wieder was über Rambaldi hören!

No. Both Jack and Vaughn leave L.A., traveling to meet with people that have something to do with their respective pasts. The backstory about Vaughn's father becomes more complicated and may be linked to someone in Sydney's family. And, FYI, we still haven't seen the last of Lauren.

From maria: I really enjoy your column. Do you know if Sark will be a regular this season on Alias?

Sadly, I believe that's the last we'll see of him for the rest of the season, and after last week's episode, I'm convinced it's a travesty of epic proportions! He brought it to a whole new level, no? What should we do to bring him back?

Nachdem jetzt fast die 1.Staffelhälfte rum ist, auch mal eine kleine Review von mir. Ich bin allerdings erst bei... ich glaube Folge 4.08 (auf jeden Fall die vor A Man of His Word) angekommen.

Also, nach einem vielversprechenden Season Opener und den davor gekommenen Interview-Ankündigungen, das alles wieder besser wird, bin ich von der 4.Staffel enttäuscht. Ich habe schon fast keine Lust mehr, noch weiterzuschauen, wenn ich nicht kürzlich zufällig die Ankündigung gelesen hätte, dass es besser werden soll. Diese Staffel werde ich also wohl noch dabei bleiben.

Bisher gibt es keine interessante Hintergrundstory, alles tippelt irgendwie auf der Stelle herum. Die Charaktere und deren Beziehungen untereinander kommen auch nicht so wirklich rüber und Sydneys Schwester lässt mich bisher noch relativ kalt. Sie ist einfach irgendwie nur "die Schwester", mehr nicht. Jetzt wurde mal wieder der Kampf auf Leben und Tod zwischen den beiden angekündigt, aber so langsam sollte dann auch mal was in der Richtung passieren. Ich hoffe, das wird nicht bis zum Season Finale hingezogen.

Wenigstens gab es in meiner letzten Folge dann mal einen Clifhanger, also mal keine Standalone-Folge wie zuvor (die man ja anscheinend wirklich fast beliebig vertauschen kann). Wenn ich so an die vorherigen zurückdenke, müsste ich allerdings erstmal überlegen, was in den meisten überhaupt passiert ist.

Also, ich hoffe noch auf ein besseres Alias in der 2.Staffelhälfte. Vielleicht kann ich mir dann auch wieder die Episodentitel und deren Inhalte merken.

Olin has agreed to return for a multiple-episode arc at the end of this season, which both pleases and worries me: If L.O. once again gets our hopes up, shows us how mind-bendingly fantastic she can be and then decides she wants out next season, I will personally hunt her down in whatever godforsaken frozen tundra she's from and force her to return. (Granted, given her badassery, this may take a small army, but I'm sure you guys are with me, right!?)

4x15 "Pandora"

Sydney learns shocking news from Katya Derevko about the death of her mother. Meanwhile, Vaughn becomes a rogue agent in his pursue to learn the truth about his father.



WOAH! Endlich mal wieder ZWEI Dingte, die mich wirklich überrascht haben. Nach den letzten Folgen hatte ich ja schon bei mir vorschnell die Nase gerümpft, da das alles wieder etwas zu sehr nach Schema-Ein-Toter-taucht-wieder-auf-und-Sloane-ist-böse ablief, aber diese Folge hat mich echt beeindruckt. Die Idee mit Vaughn als Rouge hat sich so angenehm schnell wieder gelegt und vor allem dass sein Vater doch tot ist, war wirklich mal was. Trotzdem glaubt Syd meiner Meinung nach wieder mal Katya viel zu schnell, solche Datenkann man doch auch fälschen. Mal sehen wies weitergeht, nächste Woche verspricht ja schon mit dem Titel "Another Mister Sloane" so einiges. Was der wohl will? Sloane töten kann man doch auch einfacher haben... ausserdem hat der "echte" ja auch noch was mit Jack geheim am laufen... das wird interessant. Vor allem Joel Grey als Besetzung find ich sehr gelungen, der war schon als "Doc" in Buffy so eine herrliche Figur wo man nie wusste, ob er nu gut oder böse war... ausserdem hat er genauso dunkle Augen wie der "echte" Sloane *g*

Man bemerke übrigensn auch: Sie waren (mal wieder, ziemlich oft diese Staffel... anscheinend sparen sie an Sprach-Coaches *g*) in Deutschland, aber kein Nachtclub in Sicht, auch eine Neuerung

Soon. And it sounds unbelievably good, with Sydney racing to find her in order to stop a whole Rambaldi end-of-the-world happening from happening. Yes, my friends, the big R. is back.

Alias ist mittlerweile immer uninteressanter geworden. Die vierte Staffel besteht ja fast nur noch aus abgeschlossenen Einzelfolgen. Aber die letzten Folgen stimmten wieder etwas versöhnlich. Jacks Verstrahlung, der Sloane-"Clone" und die dritte Dervko-Schwester entschädigen im Finale hoffentlich für eine überwiegend langweilige Staffel.

Hmm, also ab 3x18 gehn die Spoiler jetzt, also aufgepasst...

Langsaaam siehts ja endlich so aus als würden wir Lauren bald lossein (darf ich da "juchuu" sagen?). Ich fand das mit dem Kaffee letzte Woche schon so gemein, da freut man sich, dass sie sich endlich mal wieder näher kommen und dann... Irgendwie hab ich langsam den Eindruck die Amis assoziieren mit Deutschland nur Pornoschuppen und Underground-Clubs...Obwohl... Sahen Vaughn und Syd nicht einfach schnuckelig in schwarz aus? Und Vaughn kann doch tatsächlich mit dem Lidschatten seiner Frau umgehen
Und enlich fliegt Laurens Tarnung auf, die mochte ich ja nie...
Lustig fand ich vor allem Vaughns Gespräch mit Jack, natürlich kennt er seine Frau *hust* *hust*
