Neue Serien braucht das Land. So sehen es zumindest die grossen US-Sender. Und so wurden auch dieses Jahr wieder hunderte von Pilotfolgen in Auftrag gegeben. Doch nicht alle haben grünes Licht bekommen. Hier sind zumindest all die Pilotfolgen in denen wir alte Bekannte aus guten alten Buffy- Angel- und Fireflyzeiten wiedersehen können:

NBC hat seine Programmpläne für die Season 05/06 vorgestellt und Seth hat es mit seiner Comedy ins Programm geschafft. Warscheinlich wird die Serie zur Midseason starten.

Bei ABC hat es nur die neue Comedy von und mit Freddie Prinze, Jr. ins Herbstprogramm geschafft. Unsere Leute von Firefly blieben mit ihren Serien leider auf der Strecke. Aber wenigstens können wir uns mit eventuellen Gastauftritten von Sarah trösten.

“Freddie” (half-hour comedy, Wednesday, 8:30 p.m., ET) -- Four women to every man are great odds when you're a single guy out on the town, but not ideal when it comes to your living situation. Freddie is a young, successful chef with his own restaurant, a stylish bachelor pad and a trust fund baby for a best friend. The world should be Freddie’s oyster at this stage in life, but bachelorhood isn’t working out exactly as he envisioned.

Freddie loved growing up in a house full of women. He loved the energy of everyone running around, loved cooking for them all, but now he's finally realizing why his father used to lock himself in the bathroom just for some peace and quiet. Still, Freddie believes family always comes first, which is why he insisted his sister, sister-in-law, niece and grandmother come live with him after his brother passed away. Slowly but surely they are taking over his domain, and voicing their many opinions about his love life. Freddie will have to learn to balance his role as provider, brother, grandson, and uncle, all while trying to enjoy what should be his swinging single days.

Beim WB hat es leider kein alter Bekannter ins Programm geschafft.



Dafür hat CBS aber voll zugeschlagen. Alle 3 vorgestellten Piloten gehen in Serie. Alysons neue Comedy "How I Meet Your Mother" wird Montag abends zu sehen sein während wir auf die neue Serie "The Unit" mit Amy noch bis zur Midseason warten müssen. Christian Kanes neue Serie "Close To Home" (vorher noch American Crime) wird ebenfalls schon im Herbstprogramm starten.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (Monday, 8:30 PM) is a comedy about Ted (Josh Radnor) and how he fell in love. It all started when Ted's best friend, Marshall (Jason Segel, "Freaks and Geeks"), drops the bombshell that he's going to propose to his long-time girlfriend, Lily (Alyson Hannigan, "American Pie"), a kindergarten teacher. At that moment, Ted realizes that he had better get a move on if he hopes to find true love, too.
