Ein kleines Interview mit den Machern. Beachtet vor allem die letzte Antwort

THE PULSE: How did you get involved with the new Cartoon Network shorts featuring the Clone Wars?

GAGNE: Last December, I received and email from Genndy Tartakovsky. He wrote that he was a fan of my work and asked me if I'd be interested in designing the special effects for a series of 20 Star Wars shorts, he was producing. I told him that the admiration was mutual, and being a big Star Wars fan myself, I’d be delighted to be part of his team. Six week later, I flew down to Burbank to meet with him. We went over the storyboards, talked about the direction of the show and sealed the deal.

THE PULSE: Who is the target audience for these shorts? Are they going to be PG material or for a more mature audience?

GAGNE: I'm assuming that the same people who enjoy Samurai Jack and Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, are gonna dig this. But you know, I have a really hard time with "the target audience" stuff. I'm involved on this project because I think it's cool and because I have a lot of respect for Genndy.

THE PULSE: What are some of these shorts about?

GAGNE: I don't know if I'm at liberty to discuss anything specific as far as stories go. I’ll tell you though, that judging from the storyboards, it's very action packed and quite spectacular. It has the feel of a big war epic. Genndy summarized the basic concept as "Anakin and Obi-Wan are on Muunilinst, and they're taking out these factories that the Federation has built." He also mentioned that there will be side stories with some of the established characters.
