Der Film ist eine Frechheit! Das Original was Diesel und Mathieu Kassovitz gedreht haben war runde 170 min. lang! Im Film kommt es einem vor, als würden ganze Verbindungsszenen fehlen. Das Ende passt vom Schnitt her auch überhaupt nicht zum Rest. Das Studio hat den Film vermurkst! Ich hoffe, dass der Film im Directors Cut mit seinen 170 min auf DVD rauskommt.

Yep, ein Film den ich leider im Kino boykotieren werde. Gerne hätte ich ihn mir aber dort angeschaut.

Hier zwei imdb-Zitate:

* At the time of the movie's release, director Mathieu Kassovitz openly opposed the final version of the movie calling it a "bad episode of "24" (2001). He apparently wanted to make a much longer R-rated movie that was closer to the original novel "Babylon Babies" which the screenplay, which he co-wrote, was based upon, but the Fox studio ignored his wish and mad a PG-13 movie out of it in the cutting room.

* The studio apparently cut 70 minutes of Mathieu Kassovitz's original version to get to a running time of 93 minutes. This happened against his wishes.

Und diesen Angaben werde ich erst einmal vertrauen.
